Since the hot spring was discovered in Yoro Period (717 - 723), Yunoyama Hot Spring has experienced prosperity and decline.
Yunomaya Hot Spring, visited by many literary masters, poets, and animal researchers during that time, is a hot spring destination where beautiful, lush nature remains despite being in a suburban area. It is called the back room of Kansai.
If you hike up Mt. Gozaisho, you can enjoy the view of Lake Biwa and Ise Bay in one sweep. On sunny days, you can even see Mt. Fuji in a long distance. The hot spring district has a promenade that goes through places of interest such as Sangaku-ji Temple and the big rock.
